Using these gifts he can see into the past and the future. He has almost total recall of his visions, but dream visions are always the most vivid. Visions are triggered seemingly at random, he doesn't have to touch anything to start one. If he focuses hard enough on a person or place he can sometimes trigger a vision, but it is very rarely on what he wanted to see. His visions are constantly affected by the choices people make. What he sees is always shifting and all of his visions are subject to change completely because of the tiniest changes in a person's routine. His visions are also frequently choppy and disjointed. PB: Michael Seater Height: 5' 11'' Build: Lanky and slightly awkward. Eye Color: Brown Hair Color: Brown If there is one word that could be used to describe Nathan's appearance, it would be average. He is of an average hight, not too tall, and not too short. His average light brown hair falls into his average light brown eyes more often than not. He wears average wire-rimmed glasses and is practically blind without them. He dresses like your average American nerd, if with even more layers than normal because of the cold in Greenland. There is nothing in his outward appearance that is out of the average. He knows he'll never be the most sought after guy in school but he isn't the worst off looks wise, either. All in all, he is okay with how he looks. He just wishes he could build up some muscle mass. It seems no matter how much he eats, his weight doesn't change. It would help if he could force himself to "work out", but the thought of running around or lifting weights bores him.

Strengths:Seeing all sides of (most) problems, charts, graphs, Math, Science, computers, techy things of all types.
Weaknesses: Inability to make quick decisions, pretty girls, crying people, people in general, piecing together his visions, finding the right thing to say at the right time,
Weird Quirks:~He has had visions of almost everyone in the school. Most are completely innocuous but they've made Nathan into a bit of a voyeur. He has a journal that he writes all the visions he has had into. This journal has at least a page dedicated to each person he's seen in one of his visions.
~He doesn't have asthma, he's been tested many times and he doesn't even have a mild case. But he carries around an empty inhaler, and sometimes the only way he can calm himself down is to use it.
Secrets Because he knows how easy it is to find out things that no one wants you to know, Nate tries his best not to keep secrets and is very open about himself. The only thing that could be classified as a 'secret' of his is the fact that he can't sleep without talking to his mom. His roommate knows this, but Nathan very casually pointed out that he knew all sorts of secrets about him, so it would be in his best interests to keep that little tidbit to himself.
Likes: Information, gingersnaps, girls, random facts, stability, tests.
Dislikes: Change, the headaches that his visions give him, stewed anything, snobby girls that shut him down, beefed up jocks.

Nate can be quite safely classified as a 'nerd' or a 'geek'. He can ace a quiz, fix a cell phone, and recite the first hundred digits of pi without breaking a sweat, but ask him to talk to the girl that sits in front of him in Magical Balance and he starts babbling like an barely literate imbecile. It's a problem and he knows it.

He has no problems with his gift... in theory. In fact, he likes being able to find things out about people. It feeds his inner know-it-all. What he doesn't like it the way his visions are constantly shifting. Not only does it make things hard to pin down, it tends to give him a headache.

Most of the time Nate is a fairly happy-go-lucky person. It's only when he's dealing with an onslaught of ever-changing visions that he gets snappy. Not that he'd ever be the most outgoing guy at Idris, he'd really much rather keep to himself and a few close friends.

He is most comfortable in the classroom, he's never afraid that he'll end up putting his foot in his mouth there. Schoolwork is safe and comforting, it never changes. It's always the same thing. He likes the routine of it all more than anything else.

He isn't the bravest person ever, and isn't the type to go out of his way to stand up for those weaker than him. In his mind it's everyone for themselves in high school. However, if he happens to have a vision of someone being hurt, he would go out of his way to warn them. He feels he can use his gift to help other people, and it isn't as if warning someone is going to end up hurting him.

John Coventon first saw Adele McBride on the playground near his house when he was seven years old and she was five. He told his mother later on that day that he had met the girl he was going to marry when he "was old, like you". His mother laughed and sent him out to go tell his sister it was time for supper. She never imagined that he really would marry the cute little blonde headed girl he had met that day. Thirteen years later John proved his mother wrong when he married Adele, who was fresh out of high school. They waited until she was finished with college before having their first child, a girl they named Jessica. Shortly after that they had Derek and only a little over a year later they had what they thought would be their last child, who they named Nathan. Nathan was always a happy baby, he hardly ever cried and the babysitters always loved watching over him because they could just put him in his play pin and watch tv while he entertained himself quietly. As he grew up, he never really liked playing outside with kids his age. He would always rather prefer to stay in his room and read or build things with his blocks. He always had a very vivid imagination, so when he got older and started telling his mother about the things he saw in his head, she just wrote it off as his imagination running away with him. But then one day he told her that he was going to get a letter inviting him to go to a school far away, and the next day the exact same thing happened. John and Adele weren't sure what to think about the fact that their baby was a witch. Things like that didn't happen in the suburbs. They loved Nathan though, so while they still don't understand his powers or how he got them, they've accepted him for who he is. When Nathan first started Idris, he was overcome by waves after waves of visions . It wasn't until one of his professors noticed that he looked like he hadn't slept in weeks that they took him to the hospital wing. The nurse quickly realized that he wasn't able to handle the human emotions that were triggering his visions. He started extra Magical Balance lessons, and did his best to stay away from people. Now that he is in his Sixth year and he has a much more firm hold on his powers, Nate is ready to start making friends.
